Hi, I'm not able to find anywhere "opponent descriptors" in opencv 3.1, were they removed during the transition from 2.4 to 3.0?

Regards Alessio.

yes, they were removed. (without replacement)

maybe you can just get away with copying the previous implementation

Thank you! Is there a reason why it was removed?

I am guessing since the latest update on the software states there is a commercial license needed, means that OpenCV cannot incorporate them and thus they were removed. You could start a PR on the xfeatures2D folder with a request to the author supplying permission to leave it there for research purposes. However, some deeper digging told me that the company holding the license, Euvision Technologies, has been bought by Qualcomm as quietly as possible, so I am guessing they won't allow it.
