3d reconstruction

Is there open source code that I Can use to reconstruct whole 3d objects using kinect from just one angle? because I am trying to use kinect to great 3d object but I have to make kinect sees the whole body to reconstruct the 3d body which is I do not want. Therefore, I thought maybe I can use object recognition to great at lease similar geometry "what I need just similar shape but not the exact shape". is this the best what I can do or is there better way? if this is the best way can somebody tell what is the best object recognition that is a valuable.
