object-recognition with gps mobile robot

who knows how to program a mobile robot with this kind of ability to recognize the place and locate where he is with the use of the GPS?

gps is totally unrelated to opencv.

look a bit around for "odometry", "triangulation"

there's no key-ready solution built into opencv, unfortunately, but people may help, once you can narrow down your idea.
