I too think for 2 iPhones of the same model like iPhone 6s should have the same calibration matrix and distortion coefficient-- their manufacturing process should be consistent.... particularly since the distortion coefficient is very low. If your students try this out please share with us what you find.

If I calculate the camera calibration matrix and distortion coefficient using chessboard images for an iPhone 6s, can this calibration matrix and distortion coefficient data be used to perform Stereo rectify and then undistort images snapped using another iPhone 6s ( i.e., same model of iPhone by a different physical device)?
