This is a weird problem but when I use python bindings for opencv and capture an image from webcam, it sometimes works and sometimes doesn't. I do not understand why this is happening.

It works certain times and when it doesn't work, I keep getting a select timeout and I should close the whole terminal to terminate the process. After restarting the whole computer, it might work. Again it might, but I do not have the slightest clue when it does or when it does n't. Any idea why this is happening would be a lot helpful. My Ubuntu version is 13.04.
