How to compute the distance between two elements if we know the extrinsic and intrinsic properties of the camera?

Lets assume we know the value of K (intrinsic properties) and the value of R (rotation) and t (transformation between world and camera planes). How would we compute the distance between two contiguous pieces of wood (going towards the horizon)? It is assumed that their distances are the same.
