Is there any official IRC for OpenCV?

+1. Direct questions that can be resolved/answered and possibly are only valid for a short time and might not be a bug in the code can be solved very quickly via IRC.

+1 100% a place to ask questions is needed, this is a yet a too niche software more accessibility would be nice

+1 although not everyone uses IRC since it requires you to have a client of some kind constantly connected to see any questions come in or participate in discussion. This website is probably best since questions can be asked and answers can come in as people find the time.
