I'm trying to run the sample programs using Eclipse IDE on emulator. But app in the emulator stops by showing "closed unexpectedly"...

Pls anybody help resolving this problem.. I have confusions regarding choosing the emulator type and also opencv manager.

For running NDK application on emulator you need to install OenCVmanger on your emulator. You can use some thin like

  adb install <PATH>/OpenCV-2.4.3.2-android-sdk/apk/OpenCV_2.4.3.2_Manager_2.4_x86.apk

If you are beginner in OpenCV for Android development, I recommend you to start from this tutorial.

  1. It looks like you tries to execute sample that has native part. You need to build native libs with ndk-build command. All samples are targeted to armeabi-v7a architecture. If you use armeabi, x86 or MIPS emulator you need to edit jni/Application.mk file and define it.

  2. Also you need to install OpenCV Manager. See this page for more details.
