Is the microcontroller suitable for the use ??

I am working on beaglebone black and need to implement a fingerprint scanner using it...I am using OpenCV and Android Platform.. can u suggest some other micro-controller ??

I'd use a raspberry pi and the camera module. You then have a rather normal linux environment and even some GPIO Pins so that the pi could even send a digital signal to a lock or some other hardware if the user was identified.
