CV Experts
Hello,
I'm looking a person with excellent Open CV Skills to work with me on a research project which I have been working on in my spare time. Currently this is unpaid work but I do have parties with funds very interested in seeing a successful demonstration of the system.
Is this the right forum to look for interested people with OpenCV skills? If not where is a better place to look?
Tough this is not the focus of the forum, there have been previous posts of people looking for OpenCV programmers. The response is quite low however. If you need any help on theme's concerning object detection, do give me a heads up! Always interested in fun projects!
You can try posting on the relevant groups on LinkedIn.
Hello Steven, This does fall into the category of object detection and re-recognition. How can we discuss this further.
Just send me a mail at [email protected] with what you want to do. This gives us the time to see what you are up to :)
Did you get my email?
yeah just back at the office, give me some time to reply ;)
@StevenPuttemans : Why can't we have such a system? I mean, there are many OpenCV experts here in our community (many of them most probably looking for freelance job, challenge etc) and there are plenty of people out there looking for an OpenCV expert or some research assistant with knowledge of opencv. So why cann't we have a OpenCV-specific platform for these people to co-operate? (Sorry if it is too crazy )
@Abid Rahman K there are indeed many OpenCV experts here. As to having such a system, I am only a moderator of this forum and it seems the current structure is not ideal for job searching. However we did not close these kind of topics in the past so they stay around. If you have any suggestions, then we should try to get some sort of section buildup specifically for this.
I would recommend a very simple system (a web page) so that people can provide a link of the projects they have. Those who need to work on it, they can directly contact them. Also there can be many researchers here. They know when new conferences on computer vision/image processing etc are coming. They can announce it (If i am right, there are some competitions/challenges associated with these conferences. It is a great chance for students to work on something). And on a higher level, if someone looking for research assistant (or PhD/PostDoc vacancies etc.), that also can be shared here.
