Which algorithm is used in DpSeamFinder?

I spent hours trying to answer this question but I'm still clueless. GraphCut seam finding is almost ubiquitous in literature:

• Graphcut textures: image and video synthesis using graph cuts
• Seam carving for content-aware image resizing

and so on, but DpSeamFinder is totally anonymous.

Does anyone have an idea how this seam finder works? I also need an explanation.
