OCR with OpenCV on Android

Hi everybody.

I want write a program in android that needs to process one of the frames of a video that is recorded with its camera. actually I want do some process to detect the text (OCR). is it necessary to use openCV for this purpose? if yes can you help me using it with my android project? thanks
