Allied Vision VIMBA SDK and OpenCV (JAVA)

Allied Vision Vimba SDK only provide API support for C,C++ and .NET but my client want me to code in JAVA. From their website i came to know that it can be easily used with third party image-processing libraries. OpenCV is also in that list.

Can anyone help me to connect Vimba SDk with OpenCV in JAVA ?

Hello,

I am working on a similar thing right now.

I think it is as simple (or as difficult) as:

Use c++ example to open the camera and add any other functionality that you need to have.
This is the intresting part - use JNI to create a wrapper for your c++ code. I am not sure though how to get the image from sdk to java? Can it be done with sending image as byte[] from c++ to java, then transforming it into Mat object in java? Can anyone help with this part?

I hope it gave you some idea on gow to do it.
