I am newbie in text detection and python's opencv, I try to follow a tutrial wich is made with matlab, and in this tutorial, they explain that if we want to remove no text region we need to apply some geometric propreties like euler number and Eccentricity.

1- My question is how can we apply this proprerties with opecv python, i didn't founded any example about that ?

2- if anyone know about some GOOD tutorial for text detection, please can you advice me ?
