How can I read multiple images in Python presented in a folder?

I want read images named as following image1 , image2 image3 .....imagen-1,imagen in a folder called "inputfolder" and after processing i want save them in "outputfolder" as pimage1,pimage2 ......pimagen-1,pimagen
