Camera imager and "X" position location

Hi Everyone, First I calibrate my camera to rid it of all distortions before I do anything else. I have a laser line that illuminates a target and camera is looking at the laser beam falling on my target at 30 degrees I Can see the line in my camera. Now if I place a Round object as my target the camera shows deflection in the "Y" axis. This is normal since my camera is at 30 degrees. My issue in not with how to liinearize the deflection to a real world co-ordinate, it is to try and locate the "x" deflection corresponding to any "y" points deflection. Seems like I need to use my calibration that I use for distance and use this with a pixel spreading technique calibration to realize the "X" position that the measurement was taken . This is my thought on this, can anyone confirm or help with my train of thought.

Thank You
