WLD: A Robust Local Image Descriptor

I have recently read this paper: "WLD: A Robust Local Image Descriptor" [1] [PDF](http://vipl.ict.ac.cn/sites/default/files/papers/files/2010_PAMI_jchen_WLD-A%20Robust%20Local%20Image%20Descriptor.pdf)

It looks very interesting. Does anyone have experience with WLD or tinkered with this descriptor?

That's good news! Did you use any database in order to check the performance of this descriptor or did you use it with yourself?

How did you try it? Matlab implementation? Did you find any source code? If i have time, i'' try to implement it.

Thanks!!!

I would like to send you a question regarding to "Center-symmetric Local Binary Pattern". Do you think here, in these comments appropriate? (i don't know how to send you a private message). Thanks!

https://github.com/berak/uniform-lbp/... seems to have gone stale thanks, jeremy

hi @jeremyrutman, it was only moved here. (thanks for your interest)

just saying, in the end i wasn't all too happy with it, it's one of those things, that work nice in very special situation, but not on larger db's or something like lfw.

curious, what are you trying to do with it ?
