Qt backend GUI - Qt5, VS2012, Windows7/8

Hi all, Did any of you manage to build OpenCV2.4.8 with Qt5 and VS2012? I've tried everything, on 2 different computers. One with Windows 7 and one with Windows 8. Then I decided to give MinGW and Qt Creator a try, following this video tutorial: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ny34LpmWijo

It works, but I still cannot get the fancy Qt backend shown here: http://docs.opencv.org/modules/highgui/doc/qt_new_functions.html?highlight=image%20toolbar
