2013-09-21 16:03:15 -0600	answered a question	Another opencv java build error in Ubuntu 13.04 I struggled for some time trying to compile OpenCV for Java, using the latest version in 2.4 branch (that is, 2.4.6.1) in my Ubuntu 13.04 box, and I kept getting this exactly same error about libv4l2.so linking. I was finally able to compile it after trying with the sources tagged with 2.4.6 (downgrading one version). So, after installing the dependencies as explained in the other question, here are the steps for getting the 2.4.6 version to compile: `git clone git://github.com/Itseez/opencv.git cd opencv && git checkout 2.4.6 mkdir build && cd build cmake -DBUILD_SHARED_LIBS=OFF .. make -j8`
