I'd like to use OpenCV's optical flow for this. I found some sample code which builds and runs OK however I'm not generating any output - the output image is blank. I'm using OpenCV 2.4.9 on OSX (10.9.4). Can anyone see anything wrong with the sample code below? Here's the code I'm using: |

I have no background in CV so I'm not even sure if what I'm asking below is possible or whether OpenCV has the right tools to do it. For my own interest I'm developing an application that tracks storm clouds. My input data is a series of .png images each representing a radar scan about five minutes apart. In most cases the clouds remain fairly similar from image to image although they can of course, split, grow, increase, etc. What I'd like to be able to do is track the cloud movement so that I can use the previous path to predict the future position of the storm cloud. Is that something that OpenCV can be used for? If so, where should I begin? Any help or suggestions would be appreciated. Cheers, Chris |
