Hello forum,
It is nothing specific to opencv, rather probably one of the basic topics in pyramid level images. For example a baseline Jpeg image of size 2048 X 1024 is given. The storage of the base line jpeg image is calculated with the formula :
width * height * 0.2.
Now If I have consider the pyramid level images as well, do I have to accumulate the storage size of different resolutions or there is any specific formula for this. Pyramid level images are a quarter of the size of the larger level, down to a minimum size 128 pixels in the smallest dimension. So for an image of size 2000 X 1000, the pyramid level images would be 1000 X 500 and 500 X 250, but no more since the next level would be too small (250 X 125, where 125 is smaller than the minimum allowed size of 128).
Some references/hints are eagerly awaited.
Thanks
