In one of our research projects at Chemnitz University of Technology we gathered a dataset of gamers playing a modded version of Skyrim and besides other measures recorded their facial reactions to the game. Our goal is to automatically classify blinking behavior of the players and write each eye blinking event into a separate *.txt file together with the respective video timestamp of the eye blink.
Do you know suited algorithms for blink detection that we could use? I guess we can handle the export into an external file, but I fear the detection itself is beyond our programming skills.
