Hello everyone,
I'm looking for a way to verify if pictures (or videos, if that makes it easier) that a person has recorded with a mobile phone are from a real object or from a printed out picture or the same object. Basically I need to verify if a certain large object is really in the posession of the person taking the picture.
I have very basic control over the pictures/videos that the person takes (no studio setup but I can at least tell the person how to move and which pictures to take). Pretty much anything you could explain to your dad with his 3 year old phone and below average motivation to help you with your shenannigans to do.
Given my lack of knowledge in the field of computer vision I so far dont really know which area might give me the best result. Scene reconstruction? Depth mapping? Something else completely?
