How to read text from image and print save text to a file?

Hi, i am new to opencv and was wondering if there was a way to extract text from an image? If possible how would we be able to save the text into a file (i.e. txt)?

You want to look at the text module in OpenCV contrib. Check out the sample programs that come with it and give it a try.
