That app is doing no detection what so ever, rather using segmentation based on motion and then looking for end points. That is exactly why he is using the app against a clean background... like @berak said, if you did not notice this yet, you are missing some basic computer vision knowledge and looking for some form of education on the field is mandatory. Furthermore, your question is not conform to the forum rules, so this will be locked down.
