Is OpenCV able to used on Windows 2012 R2 X64

I'm trying to run the compiler on my WIndows 2012 R2 X64 DataCenter, and want to see if there are any issues on this version.

I have been able to compile my application on WIndows 7, but the application does not compile on Windows 2012

Any suggestions?
