Just want to know whether any application to do THUMB DETECTION has been done using OpenCV source If anything is done, can you guys please share the link

Did you actually put some effort into using google? There are several links discussing the option of finger and thus also thumb detection even with sample code available. Start with a prototype and head back when you have an actual problem! Also in the future, put effort in describing your case, because now, people have no idea of what scenario you are aiming at ...
