hi all....... for my application i want to create my own markers creation and detection methods. can anybody tell me from where i should start??

you could look at how others are doing it, ARToolkit even lets you draw your own markers

there's a lot of 2d/3d transformation involved, chapters 2 & 3 of the MasteringOpencv Book might be quite helpful
