Why is 'cvGLCM' deprecated/moved to legacy? Are there some replacement?

Dear community members,

I want to know why GLCM feature computation APIs are moved to legacy and not supported anymore. And whether there is some new API to replace it.

I also planned to use glcm for texture features but could not find any documentation about texture.cpp file and glcm structure. I wonder why glcm has no documentation, is this because it is not sufficent ? I am stuck at the beginning of my image retrieval project. Any help will be so much appreciated .
