hmm, an ip-cam sends out images, you don't have to run your opencv program on the camera.

remember this camera will upload data thru 3G connection... send raw images to our web server is to spend too much 3G bandwidth. Is it possible that a low-cost outdoor camera with 3g connection count people in front of the camera and send this data summarized?

"send raw images to our web server is to spend too much 3G bandwidth" - did you really try this ? after all, that is what this thing was made for, sending images over the net.

specs on that webpage claim 128mb ram, 128 mb flashdisc, and a 'rare' processor( TI DSP DM365). that's totally off-the-trodden-path. i very much doubt, that it will work

Berak, my link is only an example that what i need: run OPENCV in a low-cost outdoor linux camera with 3G data update. Alibaba has a good showcase of these cameras:

http://www.alibaba.com/product-detail...

http://www.alibaba.com/product-detail...

http://www.alibaba.com/product-detail...

http://www.alibaba.com/product-detail...

any of these could work?

I don't know how many hours could a developer like you invest in this implementation. Do you have an idea of this cost? Please write to me at [email protected]

I can offer $1,000 for the implementation: - Install OPENCV in http://sinopine.com/ProductShow.asp?A... and controlled remotely. - Mode "A": adapt OPENCV to count cars in front of the cameras (limiting capture areas) - Mode "B": adapt OPENCV to count faces "looking the camera", gender and age. check www.rhondasoftware.com - all modes must send data each minute to cloud server with xml file thru 3G connection. Let me know your feedback
