Missing FREAK sample in 3.0 distro?

The docs page for FREAK suggests that there is sample code available at opencv_source_code/samples/cpp/freak_demo.cpp. However, I cannot seem to find it there. Am I missing something, or it is an oversight in the distribution?

no, you're not missing anything, it's gone in 3.0.

since FREAK got moved to opencv_contrib, - care to re-write that sample, and add it here ?
