Hi there, I'm new to opencv and I just want to know what is difference between java and native development on opencv? can anyone know how to process an image of a leaf from original to display a leaf contour? I just want to make a leaf recognition by taking a picture of a leaf from android phone . I read that theres a BOW trainer on opencv, does it possible to use on android?

Thanks , John

  1. Java API is a set of wrappers to Native C++ interface. Not all the native OpenCV functions are wrapped to Java, some of them are available in C/C++ only. You can use both of then in the same application.
  2. You can use Color blob detection sample as a start point for your research. Sample search areas with selected color. Sample converts RGB image to HSV color space and find blobs with color in defined range of H coordinate. Green is a good color for Search by H coordinate.
