How to count and mark all counted objects in this image

Dear Readers,

I am new to image processing and OpenCV, so it could be basic question, but still I am too dum to solve it. So my hopes lies on you!

I have an image: link text and I need to count all objects in this image and mark them - the perfect result would look like this: link text.

Is this possible?

Yes, I think you should look at the flood fill and image threshold.
