Use 'Knowlegde of structure' to find it

Hello together,

i am looking for a way to use the 'knowledge of a structure' to find the best position/lines in an image. I just found a picture with google which shows the problem.

If i now know that the lines which i am searching for have the distance of 5 µm or maybe 260 pixel i can ignore all other lines.

I thought of creating a mask with the right distance and then shif the mask over the image and find the best correlation. But 1. how to do it with opencv functions and 2. is there an easier way?

It would be great if someone could help me.
