Emotion detection training by means of HRV

I am interested in training an algorithm with data obtained by Heart Rate Variability. In order to plan the sample, Could you please tell me what I have to consider? Which is the information/parameters I have to save to use the data to train the algorithm?

you mean, something like optical pulse detection ? "eulerian magnification" ?
