Support DSP c6748??

I am working with a DSP (LCDK c6748). This board has an example to facedetect, this example uses OpenCV. The OpenCV version is 1.5. I would like to know if there is some possibility to use the last OpenCV version. I think it is necessary to compile the OpenCV library for this device.

Are there any develop of this?? Are there any possibility to do this??

If you do not give this kind of support, can you tell me any tips to do that by my own.
