OpenCV Java = JavaCV?

I am starting my final year project and was hoping to do something similar to this using OpenCV but preferably in Java. The reason I wish to do it in Java is because I have little experience with C++.

So I downloaded JavaCV, installed it and got it running but got scared that there isn't enough documentation or support to complete my project using it (I also found a background subtraction library for the C++ version).

Then I stumbled across this, . A JavaDoc I have so desperately craved, however, it doesn't match up with JavaCV. So is JavaCV different and if so how do I get this version of OpenCV Java running??

Thanks !

JavaCV is independent project. OpenCV Java != JavaCV. Java bindings are mostly targeted for Android development. Desktop version of Java API is experimental project. There is no any tutorials yet.

Hence, would you suggest working with javacv or opencv for java programs on android and pc?
