OpenCV Java = JavaCV?

Hey,

I am starting my final year project and was hoping to do something similar to this using OpenCV but preferably in Java. The reason I wish to do it in Java is because I have little experience with C++.

So I downloaded JavaCV, installed it and got it running but got scared that there isn't enough documentation or support to complete my project using it (I also found a background subtraction library for the C++ version).

Then I stumbled across this, http://docs.opencv.org/java/ . A JavaDoc I have so desperately craved, however, it doesn't match up with JavaCV. So is JavaCV different and if so how do I get this version of OpenCV Java running??
