Working with Active Silicon Phoenix Card Based Camera

I would like to get opencv to work with an Active Silicone Phoenix Card (Hamamatsu ORCA-ER) camera. Unfortunately, I cannot capture from the device using the standard drivers. Is there a way to capture from this device? I've downloaded their DCAM-API, but not sure how I can get it to work with opencv.

Did you manage to make it work? I'm about to buy an Active Silicon Phoenix Card camera link frame grabber on eBay, without any software, but I don't know if it is a good idea. Fabrizio
