how i find width of long crack?

i have an image with some crack or defect. after i threshold i got white color of the crack in a black images.Now i don't know how to find out width of the crack.Any build in method available or not? anyone have a idea please share to me.

I think the lineiterator functionality should be able to do what you need! It loops over pixels and helps you to apply a function at each position, like checking the value.
