Beginner guide for SVM

can anyone plz guide me for support vector machine. i am going to use support vector machine in my project but i dont know even single word about SVM. I am fail to find beginners guide on internet. is there any resource on internet plz tell me. thanks in advance

You need to start learning OpenCV and then you can go with a good tutorial on opencv in opencv documentation here. This will help you alot in understanding SVM and you can test the example and understand it easily as well as it also explain there . The second good understanding of algorithm is here as this is also very helpful to understand SVM. This is your third tutorial . These all tutorials give you good understanding about SVM .I hope when you go from these all tutorial you can come with more specific problem and surely you have to face problems but Best of Luck

Do you think "SVM for Edge-Preserving Filtering" as in here: http://www.cs.cityu.edu.hk/~qiyang/ would be hard to replicate?
