I'm wondering if any one can help with recognizing a marked pig using a webcam image.
The pigs wil go trough a sorting system and only those marked need to be sorted.
I rather have one small dot, than a complete painted pig :)

If it is always marked with blue, and you do not have any blue in the background, it is a simple matter of converting to HSV and perform an inrange threshold to separate blue pixels.
unfortunately not all pigs are marked this clearly. A big dot would even be better if that could be detected.
Any one an idea?

Who can create such a "tool" for example running on a beagle bone board? I'm not familiar with image processing :(
WE HAVE DEVELOPED A SOLUTION FOR THE SORTING BASED ON COLOUR. THIS SO CALLED SORTI CAM HAS BEEN DEPLOYED IN OVER 30 STABLES AND WORKS VERY WELL. ONLY A SMALL DOT OF BLUE PAINT IS ENOUGH TO SORT THEM. SO IF ANY ONE IS INTERESTED, MAIL US: [email protected]
