Efficiency and effectiveness of OpenCV modules

Hi Hi I am a PhD student at RMIT/Melbourne. I have used some of the modules of openCV in my experiments. My supervisor is interested to know that how well and professional the codes are designed. Actually he is interested to know that the codes are designed efficient or effective? The function that i used is colour and intensity Histograms. How can i prove it to my academic supervisors. Do you have any certificate or standards award for your codes? Your prompt answer would be appreciated. Cheers Amir

Hi Amir, OpenCV has gained an academic award: the Mark Everingham Prize (see more at http://opencv.org/opencv-receives-the-mark-everingham-prize.html). And if you want to persuade your supervisor, give him some benchmark results on the functions you used between OpenCV and Matlab to illustrate the efficiency of OpenCV over Matlab.
