Real-time location mapping using 3d model

Hello! I just want to start out by saying that I am new to OpenCV and have close to no experience with using it....

I was hoping that someone can lead me in the right direction for a project that I am working on. I have a 3d model of the interior of a house and I am wanting to use a camera to determine where I am positioned within that house based off of the 3d model.

I would really appreciate any help/pointers that you can give me.
