How to distinguish objects based on different patterns in it?

[Hi guys, I am new to OpenCV and trying to solve a problem. I searched the internet but couldn't find something which can work out. I am attaching a sample image and the desired output. Please help me with the solution or how to approach this problem? I have tried various methods like hough line transform, template-matching, contouring. But it doesn't work out successfully for me.
