Region of interest extraction

I am trying to extract a triangular traffic sign from an image. I applied a Hough line transform after thresholding the image and the lines were successfully detected. The problem is cropping it out.

maybe those hough lines are not super useful for your purpose ?

Don't know - maybe use contours or a object detector to get the shape or bbox for your object and then just crop.
