Installation Issues

Hello,

I'm using rasbian to work on a project for school and cannot get the installation correct. I've been at it for a week and I'm relatively new to compiling source. I've tried "pip install opencv-python" and it could not be found. I also tried compiling the v4 source, but with no success. My python3 version is 3.4.2.

Any help is much appreciated

What's Debain are you using? It is Stretch? The latest version is python3 3.5 for Debian Stretch. You cannot used pip for python3. You simply used pip3 for for python3. One things for school project. you better ask your teacher to upgrading to Debian Stretch.
