Identifying curves in a 2D diagrm

Hi

I have come across few engineering drawings in 2D. i need to identify the bendings in the drawings. The images are of JPEG format and are of 32 bit rate quality. The pixels are also 7300 x 4600 size and are of good quality. The drawings are in black and white colour.

Is OpenCV a right tool to identify only the curves in the drawings ? Please share any examples available in python.

Without images, we cannot give you an estimated guess. But in general, curves can be detected with a range of computer vision algorithms.
