how to find artifacts in OpenCV?

Hi, I'm trying to find write an algorithm for image forgery detection and Im trying to find artifacts created due to image compression is there a work around in open-cv to find these artifacts, I see that there are methods that remove artifacts but can we detect them ?

Im asking if theres a method in opencv to detect these artifacts, im guessing there's not

a lot of techology needed IS there, but there is no ready made code for you.

this is also an active research topic. (and without own research, you'll go nowhere)
