Documentation about classifier XML file

Hello all,

I'd like to get a deeper understanding about the structure of the classifier XML file, e.g. the haarcascade_frontalface_default.xml. Is there any documentation about the meaning of the different tags used in this file? I could not find anything about it, only tutorials on how to create the file using OpenCV.
